Congenital Anomalies

Congenital anomalies, also known as birth defects, are structural or functional abnormalities that are present at birth. These anomalies can affect any part of the body and vary widely in severity, ranging from minor conditions that may have little impact on a person’s health to more serious conditions that require medical intervention. Congenital anomalies can result from genetic factors, environmental exposures during pregnancy, or a combination of both.
